Island Odyssey: To the Ends of the Earth with Jesus Christ is a Christian education curriculum that links biblical island stories with the culture of popular island vacation spots.  This Bible and Arts program provides opportunity for children of all ages to know Jesus and desire the spread of the Gospel all over the world.  Starting with Paul’s evangelistic island encounters, Island Odyssey will teach the good news through story, music, art, foods, crafts, movement, and drama.

*Monday’s Bible Lesson - Hearing the Right Voice (Acts 13:4-12) Paul makes his voice heard over a local magician’s so that one man can believe.

*Tuesday’s Bible Lesson - Going the Right Way (Acts 27:9-22, 26) Despite Paul’s advice, a wrong decision puts all on a dangerous course.

*Wednesday’s Bible Lesson - Being True to Who You Are (Acts 28:1-10) Mutual hospitality reveals Paul’s true identity in Christ.

*Thursday’s Bible Lesson - Seeing Who Jesus Is (Revelation 1:9-16) While imprisoned for preaching Christ, John receives a vision.

*Friday’s Bible Lesson - Spreading the Good News (Psalm 72:1, 5-14) The King reigns from sea to sea; his salvation is for everyone.

 

Each year we collect an offering and choose a mission to donate it to.  This year we have chosen to donate our offering to the Toy Store here at Asbury.  Toy Store is a ministry that serves families and their children at Christmas time to make their holiday brighter.  The 2011 Vacation Bible School collected $400 that was spent on toys for the 2011 Toy Store.
