CLASS DESCRIPTIONS (Alphabetical by class name)


This class will teach students the fundamentals of American Sign Language. The lessons consist of written assignments, video lessons, and text.

This class will guide students in the development of their artistic talents. This is done by first teaching students how to acquire the visual perception of an artist. The individual style of each student grows as they explore a variety of medias, artistic styles, and techniques. Students will gain the confidence needed to express individual creativity.

Students will get a firm understanding of the basics of Chemistry with Apologia’s Exploring Creation with Chemistry, 3rd Edition. Sixteen modules cover measurement & units, atoms & molecules, atomic structure, molecular structure, polyatomic ions and molecular geometry, stoichiometry, acid-base chemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, chemical equilibrium, and more.

In this class, the students will have a rich study of U.S. History from the mid 1800s to present times. This class will connect to the novels being read and studied in the Literature Class.

Books Needed: US History Detective Book 2 by Steven Greif


This class will complete in-depth studies of four novels that will connect with the History Class.

In this class, students will learn to play the ukulele while exploring musical concepts in a group setting.  Music students will have the opportunity to perform during the school year.

Supplies Needed: Ukulele (NOT from Five Below) Check-out the options on Amazon and Wal-Mart.  They range from $25 to All-in-One kits priced at $70 and many options in between.; Binder (1in.)
