Vickie Middleton – Asbury Denton Secretary
Born in Nocona, Texas, Vickie moved with her family to North Carolina at the tender age of six.  After three years, the family began inching “back home” to Texas by way of Mississippi where Vickie met and married Perry Middleton (also born in Texas) after their freshman year in college.  Receiving her Bachelors Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1979…she waited patiently for Perry to finish his Bachelor of Music specializing in Classical Guitar.  After Perry received his Associates Degree in Electronics (playing guitar didn’t bring in enough to live on …Perry and Vickie moved a little closer to Texas by way of Mandeville, Louisiana, spending the next eight years in the New Orleans area.  During this time, their two sons, Jason and Wes were born.  In 1993…twenty-nine years after leaving Texas…Vickie finally made it back to Texas, settling in Denton.  While sitting in the playground of the McDonald’s on University Drive, they were drawn to give the little church across the street a try…and the rest is history!  Vickie served in the nursery at Asbury for several years before taking the position of secretary in April of 2000.  Having a great love of music…you MIGHT catch her singing in the office (as the Praise Team rehearses) or with the volume on the radio turned up all the way in the car…but more likely you will find her leading the applause for Perry and the boys at their performances.

He never truly handed over the reigns of his life until difficult times set in after his return from military service. It was in these times when God reached down. Since that fateful period in his life where he embraced what it means to trust Christ, many miracles have taken place in his life that testify without a doubt that Jesus reigns and has a plan for every individual! Cameron hails himself as the “PowerPoint Guru” and if you’re looking for him at Asbury – look up!
